Adult Video Star Ron Jeremy Indicted On More Than 30 Counts of Sexual Assault, Dating Back To 1996
The Los Angeles County District Attorney announced Wednesday that adult film actor Ron Jeremy has been charged with more than 30 charges of sexual abuse involving 21 women and girls over the course of two decades.
The defendant, whose legal birth name is Ron Jeremy Hyatt, pleaded not guilty.
Mr. Hyatt was charged with sodomy, 12 counts of forcible rape, seven counts of forcible oral copulation, six counts of sexual battery by restraint, four counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object, two counts of sexual penetration of an unconscious or asleep person, and one count each of a lewd act upon a child under the age of 14 or 15.
Hyatt is scheduled to return to court on October 12th for an additional pretrial conference.

“Far too often, survivors of sexual assault suffer in isolation,” District Attorney Gascón slammed Hyatt. “We must ensure that survivors have all options available to help with recovery, including trauma-informed services for healing and support to report such crimes.”
According to Rolling Stone, Hyatt’s lawyer claims that he is innocent. “His position is the same as it was when they issued the criminal complaint. He is innocent of all charges.”
The charges against Hyatt involve alleged incidents dating back to 1996.
