Alex Trebek Just Gave A ‘Mind-Boggling’ Update On His Stage 4 Cancer
In a recent interview with People, ‘Jeopardy!’ host Alex Trebek said his stage 4 pancreatic cancer is in ‘near remission,’ according to his doctors.
Even though pancreatic cancer only has a 9 percent survival rate, Trebek has been responding incredibly well to chemotherapy.
“It’s kind of mind-boggling,” Trebek told People. “The doctors said they hadn’t seen this kind of positive result in their memory…some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent.”
While this is amazing news for the 78-year-old game show legend, Trebek still has to go through several intense rounds of chemotherapy before he can reach total remission.
Earlier this year, Trebek publicly revealed that he had pancreatic cancer in a video posted on the official YouTube channel for ‘Jeopardy!’
Trebek has continued to host ‘Jeopardy!’ despite his diagnosis.
Stay strong, Alex! We’re praying for you.
