Alleged Michigan Republican Electors Blocked From Entering The Capitol By State Police?

Republican electors in Michigan were reportedly barred from entering the state capitol by local police — with the direction from its Democratic governor — preventing them from casting alternative ballots for President Donald Trump.

Breitbart News reported the incident, noting  that Michigan’s state capitol was closed that day due to “credible threats of violence.”

“State Rep. Daire Rendon told Breitbart News she attempted to escort the Republican electors into the building, but they were prevented entry by a State Police trooper, who is at the direction of the governor,” the news outlet said.

“The Electors are already here, they’ve been checked in,” a video post from the scene said.

“Michigan State Police are blocking access to the Capitol, preventing the GOP Electors from getting inside #Michigan #ElectoralCollege#ElectoralCollegeVote.”

Meanwhile, Rep. Rendon, a Republican, told Breitbart News that “Republicans had chosen a slate of electors to be seated today as well,” a move that she said would not happen if “the election results are clear.”

Since the election results were not clear “due to all of the allegations of fraud,” the State representative said “Republicans  sent in their slate of electors, as well” to the Capitol.

These electors “never made it through the door, because a sergeant with the Michigan State Police barred their entry,” the  Republican electors then casted  their ballots at the Michigan Republican Party headquarters in Lansing instead.

“I was the person that walked with them to help them get into the capitol because I’m a state legislator. I should be allowed to enter the state capitol,” Rep. Rendon reportedly told Breitbart News.

The Republican lawmaker noted that in all her four years in the state’s legislature, she has never been barred from entering the capitol building for whatever reason.

“I can’t imagine why we would ever ban a sitting representative or senator from the capitol grounds,” she said, noting that “the State Police operate at the command of the governor.”

Michigan’s Governor, Gretchen Whitmer — a Democrat — has insisted that there were no irregularities involved in the state’s election last November 3, despite multiple fraud reports tied to the polls.

She currently serves as the co-chairperson of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s inaugural committee.

Michigan Democrat electors convened at the Senate chamber in the state capitol on December 14 to cast 16 ballots for Biden and his vice presidential pick, Senator Kamala Harris as the campaign of President Trump continued to pursue legal actions to weed out illegal votes and overturn the results of the election.

Meanwhile, the Republican State Representative noted that GOP electors had “all of the paperwork to submit to the Senate floor, but the sergeant would not allow anyone to carry those ballots into the Senate, either.”

“They shut us down all the way,” Rep. Rendon said.

Michigan voting machines have ‘substantial errors’

On Tuesday, President Trump said voting machines in Michigan had ‘substantial errors’ ‘able to take a landslide.’

“68% error rate in Michigan Voting Machines. Should be, by law, a tiny percentage of one percent,” the Republican incumbent president said.

“Did the Michigan Secretary of State break the law? Stay tuned!” he added.

“Tremendous problems being found with voting machines. They are so far off it is ridiculous. Able to take a landslide victory and reduce it to a tight loss,” President Trump said.

“This is not what the USA is all about. Law enforcement shielding machines. DO NOT TAMPER, a crime. Much more to come!”
