Twitter Bans Anti-Trump Trolls Brian And Ed Krassenstein

Two of the most notorious anti-Trump trolls on Twitter, Brian and Ed Krassenstein, have received a permanent suspension from the platform.

The Krassenstein bros are well known for usually being one of the first people to reply to nearly every tweet made by President Trump with an obnoxious anti-Trump remark.

The Krassenstein brothers used their strategy of replying to nearly every Trump tweet for years to grow their Twitter accounts to huge followings. At the time of their respective Twitter bans, Ed Krassenstein had approximately 925,000 followers and Brian had 697,000 followers.

In a statement given to The Daily Beast, a Twitter spokesperson claimed the Krassenstein bros violated Twitter’s terms of service by “operating multiple fake accounts and purchasing account interactions are strictly prohibited.” The anonymous spokesperson added, “Engaging in these behaviors will result in permanent suspension from the service.”

In another statement given to The Daily Beast, the Krassenstein brothers denied Twitter’s accusations that they participated in shady behavior that was in violation of the site’s rules.

“Twitter claims that we manipulated our interactions through the purchase of fake accounts and fake interactions,” the Krassenstein bros said. They added, “ We have never once acquired anything for the purpose of increasing our Twitter presence.”

Despite the Krassenstein brothers notoriety as anti-Trump hate-mongers and trolls, many prominent conservatives who value the ideal of freedom speech defended the brothers after they were banned by Twitter. Jack Posobiec, a host at One America News Network, tweeted his frustration with Twitter’s decision to ban the brothers. Posobiec said that “Twitter should not silence political voices on either side of the aisle.”

In September 2018, Brian Krassenstein tweeted at President Trump, “Your song is going to be indicted. If I’m wrong I’ll delete my account.” Well, sorry Brian, you’re banned from Twitter now so your account is already deleted anyway.

Ironically, the Krassenstein brothers publicly praised Facebook for permanently banning conservative voices such as Paul Joseph Watson, Laura Loomer, and Alex Jones.

Apparently, the twins never thought it would happen to them. Fate loves irony 🤷
