AOC: “Actual Liberation Of Southern States” From Republican Control Is Needed For America To “Heal”

Self-proclaimed Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took to social media amid calls for unity in America and suggested that the only way for the country to “heal” is for southern states to be “liberated.”

During an hour-long video on Instagram about the recent Capitol Hill breach, the progressive lawmaker also reiterated her position that Republican Senators Ted Cruz (Texas) and Josh Hawley (Missouri) resign or “be ousted” for exercising their Constitutional right to vote against the certification of Electoral College votes last week.

At one point, Ocasio-Cortez noted that southern states “are not red states, but suppressed states,” which she attempted to prove by citing how Democrats were able to take over Georgia a “multi-racial” and “multi-cultural” state and said that these “suppressed” southern states should be liberated to “heal” America.

“We got to organize. And I think what we saw in Georgia is a really good example with black women leading the way, with multiracial and multicultural organizations leading the way, um, they proved that southern states are not red states, they are suppressed states,”  the far-left Democrat told her 8.3 million followers on the social media.

“Which means the only way that our country is going to heal is through the actual liberation of southern states, the actual liberation of the poor, the actual liberation of working people — from economic, social, and racial oppression. That’s the only way. That’s the only way,” she added.

The New York representative also went to discuss the current efforts by Democrats to impeach President Donald Trump, again and reiterated that Democrats just need to drum up their pressure on Vice President Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove the President from office.

“We just got to keep pushing, but tonight the votes that happened were to urge Vice President Pence to invoke the 25th and tomorrow we vote on impeachment,” AOC said Tuesday. “We will be impeaching the president of the United States tomorrow.”

AOC to Cruz, Hawley: “Get out, you do not belong in the Senate”

Meanwhile, the socialist lawmaker also fumed at GOP Senators Cruz and Hawley for contesting the results of the 2020 election last week saying that both Republican senators needed to “get out” and they “do not belong” in the Senate.

“I want to be clear to Senator Ted Cruz, you do not belong in the United States Senate. I want to be clear to Senator Josh Hawley, you do not belong in the United States Senate,” Ocasio-Cortez ranted.

“You do not belong in any democratically elected seat when you do not believe that that election was even legitimate, according to your self-serving claims. So get out,” the Democrat superstar pointed out in what could only be seen as a clear contrast to their efforts to delegitimize Donald Trump as US President in the past four years.

“If they had any shred of integrity, any shred of integrity about their claims, their lies really, but their claims about this election, they would take off their pin and turn it in,” the self-proclaimed socialist noted.

“But this isn’t about the truth to them. This is about if they want to be president in 2024. Let me give you a sneak peak. You will never be president. You will never command the respect of this country. Ever. Ever. And you should resign. So should every member of Congress that voted to overturn the results of our election,” she demanded.
