“Avengers: Endgame” Breaks Opening Night Box Office Record
“Avengers: Endgame” just made American domestic box office history with its $60 million opening night on Thursday.
The previous record was held by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” which made $57 million on its opening night in December 2015. Both the “Star Wars” and the “Avengers” movies franchises are owned by Disney.
“Avengers: Infinity War,” the prequel to “Endgame,” earned $39 million during its opening day last year.
“Endgame” is projected to far surpass the $258 million opening weekend that “Infinity War” had, but will the memes be a dank as “Infinity War” memes?
We can only hope.
