Biden Claims That 350 Million Americans Have Been Vaccinated, Exceeding U.S. Population
Joe Biden’s gaffes are never-ending. On Friday, the guy holding the title of President made big numerical errors, saying that 350 million Americans had been vaccinated, tens of millions more than the whole population of the United States.
“So we have to get more people vaccinated. I said, well over — what’s the number again, I have to remind myself — 350 million Americans have already been vaccinated. They’re doing fine,” Biden boasted at the White House after remarks about the July jobs report.

Biden repeated the error at a second point during his remarks.
“We have roughly 350 million people vaccinated in the United States, and billions around the world,” Biden said.

According to the Census Bureau, Biden’s figure of 350 million vaccinated persons is 20 million more than the country’s total population, which was 330 million last year.
Biden may have mixed up the population number with the number of vaccine doses given out, which is closer to the figure he gave. As of Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that 348.9 million vaccination doses had been administered.
White House Data Director Dr. Cyrus Shahpar said that half of the U.S. population has been fully vaccinated. The CDC’s latest numbers revealed that about 193.2 million people have received at least one dose of vaccine, and about 165.6 million people are fully vaccinated.
Over the last week, 699,261 shots have been administered each day, approximately a 14% increase from the previous week.
This week, Biden reprimanded Republican governors who are pro-medical-freedom, including Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida.
“If you’re not going to help, at least get out of the way of people trying to do the right thing,” Biden said.
DeSantis blasted Biden by replying he would not “get out of the way.”
