Biden Fails To Remember Name Of Defense Secretary, Expected To Give First Primetime On Thursday

President Joe Biden nominated two female generals from elite to four-star commands on Saturday, Gen. Jacqueline Van Ovost and Lt. Gen. Laura Richardson who were first considered for the promotion in the fall of 2020.

Independent reported that senior leaders of the Pentagon all agreed the two female generals should be given the four-star commands. The two generals were also vetted and evaluated over a series of several months.

Biden was concluding his speech and seemed to forget the name of the Pentagon and his Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin.

On Monday’s press briefing, Jen Psaki announced that Biden will be making his first prime-time address this Thursday night ‘t commemorate the one-year anniversary of shutdowns,’ according to USA Today.

Psaki did not provide time or say where the president will deliver the address but this will be something to tune in and watch just how well President Biden can handle himself.

Psaki said, “He will discuss the many sacrifices that the American people have made over the last year and the grave loss communities and families across the country have suffered. The president will look forward, highlighting the role that Americans will play in beating the virus and moving the country to getting back to normal.”

The address will take place after Biden is expected to win the final approval of the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill on Tuesday. The Senate voted 50-49 along party-lines Saturday to approve and next will be the House to vote.

“It remains unclear when the president will deliver his first address to a join session of Congress. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is tasked with setting that date. Psaki has indicated the State of the Union, usually held before a packed joint session at the Capitol, could look different this year because of coronavirus restrictions,” reported by USA Today.

The situation around Biden’s most recent gaffes is becoming more alarming and questionable if his health is worsening.

Most recently Biden had a very tough time explaining the Covid bill on Saturday and he stumbled through this speech trying to get his point across.

Tom Elliott posted the clip via Twitter of Biden forgetting the name of the Pentagon and the name of his Secretary of Defense.
