Biden Says $1,400 Checks Is What The American People Were Promised

According to President Biden he talked about the American rescue plan by keeping the ‘commitment of $2,000’ checks and said $600 has already gone out and a $1,400 check will be for the people who need it.

Well it is obvious when you add the 2 separate checks it equals in $2,000 but it seems many others thought they would received an extra $2,000 after the $600.

Users on Twitter expressed how they felt on Biden’s promise of $2,000 checks.

One man posted in response to The Hill stimulus poll, “And the people wanted those checks to be $2000 as @JoeBiden promised! NOT $1400 or $1000!”

Another user called out The Democrats Twitter page, “Give folks $2k checks & stop shooting yourself in the foot politically for no reason”

Another called the promised $2,000 check as a ‘big political misfire’ and this could have easily been avoided if the Biden Administration was more clear.

Reported by CNBS at a campaign rally in Atlanta on Jan 4, 2021, Biden stated, “If you send Jon [Ossoff] and the reverend [Raphael Warnock’ to Washington, those $2,000 checks will go out the door, restoring hope and decency for many people who are struggling right now.”

Biden even told voters if Republican Senators Perdue and Loeffler make their way into Washington, ‘those [$2,000] checks will never get there’ not a remaining $1,400.

Another clip posted to Twitter shows a mashup of the promises and push for $2,000 checks during the Georgia Senate runoffs.

December 21st, 2020 Congress Passed The Second Pandemic Relief Bill

The second relief bill was passed under the Trump and the checks were worth up to $600 per person during that time.

Biden posted to Twitter On Jan 10th, 2021 calling the $600 ‘simply not enough when you have to choose between paying rent or putting food on the table… We need $2,000 stimulus checks’

This could have all been avoided if they pushed for $1,400 checks after the $600 was approved but for political reasons, saying we need $2,000 is what worked for the Dems.
