Biden ‘Says The Quiet Part Out Loud’ Incidents, Raises Question If He’s In Control Of Taking Reporters Questions
President Joe Biden has frequently stated that his handlers set the rules and decide when and when he can take press questions, prompting observers to wonder who is really in charge behind the scenes.
The bizarre trend of leaving early and an unknown woman yelling “Thank you! Let’s go!” has Americans wondering if Biden really is in control of his schedule.
“I’m not supposed to take any questions.”
During a visit to the National Response Coordination Center at FEMA headquarters on Sunday, Biden announced that he wasn’t “supposed to take any questions.”
“I’m not supposed to take any questions, but go ahead,” Biden said to a reporter before quickly changing his mind when he was confronted about the Afghanistan crisis.

When Biden took questions from reporters during the early stages of the Kabul incident, he used the word “instructed” when confronted with the press.
“Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list here. The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O’Donnell from NBC,” Biden said.

“As usual… they gave me a list.”
During a June press conference in Geneva, Biden admitted that he would only call reporters from a prepared list.
“I’ll take your questions, and as usual, folks, they gave me a list of the people I’m going to call on,” Biden told the press after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Observers wondered who “they” were.
It’s unclear whether Biden is trying to be humorous when he speaks like this.

“I’m going to get in trouble”
Biden appeared to have joked during a news conference following the G-7 summit in June, claiming that his staff would be disappointed if he did not arrange the event according to their design.
Biden made it clear early on in the question-and-answer segment of the program that he would follow the rules to the letter.
“I’m sorry, I’m going to get in trouble with staff if I don’t do this the right way,” Biden said before calling on a Bloomberg reporter.
“I’d be happy to take questions if that’s what I’m supposed to do”
During a virtual presser with Democrat Leader Nancy Pelosi, Biden seemed to be prepared to answer questions. However, an unknown individual cut off the live feed.
