BREAKING: Bodycam Footage Of Police Shooting Of Daunte Wright Is Released

According to Brooklyn police on Monday, an officer mistook her gun for a taser which resulted in the death of a man during a traffic stop in Minnesota.

Wright was shot and killed Sunday around 2 p.m. and hundreds of protestors/rioters with BLM signed looted stores and fired shots at a police station.

Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon said Daunte Wright died as a result of ‘accidental discharge’ and the officer is currently on administrative leave.

The bodycam footage from the incident shows Wright stepping of out his vehicle and an officer attempting to handcuff him until Wright decides to get back into his vehicle and drive off. The officers struggled with right and the female officer then pulled her gun out.

The female officer who shot him yelled, “Oh sh*t, I just shot him!”

Police Chief Gannon describes the female officer as a ‘very senior’ member of the force and this incident will follow ‘due process’.

“I think we can look at the video and ascertain whether or not she will return,” he told reporters.

NY Post reported, “Gannon said he was unaware if a weapon was found in Wright’s car and said officers initially pulled him over for expired registration.”

The police briefing came as soon as city business owners have been cleaning up after new rounds of looting and riots over the death of Wright happened.

Andy Ngo posted a video on Twitter, “People looted a GameStop overnight in response to BLM inciting a riot & violence in Brooklyn Center (near Minneapolis) after police killed a criminal suspect evading arrest.”

“A gas station convenience store was looted clean by #BLM rioters overnight in Brooklyn Center, Minn. Rioters & protesters are responding violently to the police killing of a wanted criminal suspect who tried fleeing by vehicle,” Ngo posted to Twitter. 

“A Sally Beauty Supply store was smashed into and looted during the #BLM unrest & violence overnight in Brooklyn Center, Minn,” Ngo also shared to Twitter.

Daily Caller posted to Twitter showing the MN police bodycam footage of the moments that lead to the fatal shooting of Wright.

Police Chief Time Gannon said the shooting is an ‘accidental discharge’ and stated, “It is my belief that the officer had the intention to employ their taser, but instead shot Mr. Wright with a single bullet.”
