British Troops Confirm Horrifying Rumor About Desperate Women Tossing Babies Over Razor Wire

On Thursday, British forces in Kabul validated a horrific rumor, telling reporters that desperate mothers in Kabul are tossing their infants over razor-wire barricades in the hopes that soldiers would take them and transport them out of Afghanistan. Some of the children were caught in the razor wire.

“It was terrible, women were throwing their babies over the razor wire, asking the soldiers to take them, some got caught in the wire,” a senior British officer told Sky News on Thursday.

“I’m worried for my men, I’m counselling some, everyone cried last night,” he said.

On Thursday, an unidentified British Parachute Regiment officer, presumably the same one, told the UK Independent a similar story.

“The mothers were desperate, they were getting beaten by the Taliban. They shouted, ‘save my baby’ and threw the babies at us. Some of the babies fell on the barbed wire. It was awful what happened. By the end of the night there wasn’t one man among us who was not crying,” he said.

To keep the panicking crowds at away, the commander stated that his soldiers must carefully restrict entry to the Kabul airport using parked vehicles and barbed wire. They can only watch as Taliban thugs terrorize the people imprisoned on the opposite side of the barrier a few yards away.

Sky News spoke with a lady who was rushing past the British border with her four-year-old kid in tow. She said that her husband started physically assaulting her.

“Afghanistan is Taliban. Taliban is terrorist. My husband is a terrorist Talib,” she said, while asking to flee to the U.S., Canada, France or anything other place her and her child could go. According to Sky News, she was able to make it to the airport even though many others have not.

According to the Independent, one Taliban checkpoint is so known for aggression against migrants that “warplanes were scrambled to fly low and fire chaff” over a riot it provoked.

“I was with my family, one of the Taliban got angry at something my wife said and started beating her with a stick. I got these injuries trying to protect her. The man was actually trying to reach around me to hit her. They seem to like hitting women,” a wounded Afghan man told the outlet.

Reuters also noticed parents handing off small children over the barriers to American troops in one viral video that was reportedly filmed this week and shows a group of people lifting up a little girl to an American soldier, who was able to carefully bring her over the barricade.

In response to stories of mothers tossing their infants over barriers, UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace pleaded with them to stop. He said unequivocally that British troops would not transport unaccompanied children out of the country.

“In the footage I have seen them,” Wallace said. “If they are families that are coming through as a whole they will come through. Right now as we are speaking I think we are loading up 120 families onto a plane to depart, another 138 only a few hours later – we will be rolling through that process.”
