Canadian Pastor Arrested By SWAT Operation After Church Services

Last month, a Canadian pastor went viral for telling police officers who showed up at his church on Easter weekend to leave, but he was arrested on Saturday for breaking COVID-19 gathering restrictions imposed by a recent court order.

The Calgary Police Service said in a statement that Pastor Artur Pawlowski, the pastor of Calgary’s Street Church in Alberta, and his brother, Dawid Pawlowski, were detained and charged with “organizing an illegal in-person gathering.”

“These restrictions are in place in Canada (and in many places here in the U.S.) despite the fact fully-opened states like Texas and Florida allow people to go back to normal and have done so while keeping their China Virus cases in line with lockdown states,” Breitbart reported.

“There are reports the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), a far-left fake news outlet, was tipped off to the arrest, which is why CBC photographer Rod Maldaner just happened to be on the scene when the arrest occurred. In a now-deleted tweet the Nazi-With-A-Camera celebrated the arrest and, naturally, passed along fake news:

This is the image of the day. Pastor Artur Pawlowski being arrested today in Calgary. Being a jerk has its consequences. He doesn’t seem to be laughing now. I bet he’s yelling #GETMEOUT. Next up, KJJ when he goes to the remand to protest.

Yeah, good work, journalist, except that wasn’t a photo of Arthur Pawlowski, that was a photo of his brother. Reichsführer Maldaner has now locked his Twitter account.”

“Artur Pawlowski and Dawid Pawlowski have both been arrested and charged with organizing an illegal in-person gathering, including requesting, inciting or inviting others to attend an illegal public gathering, promoting and attending an illegal public gathering,” Calgary newsroom reported.

Video footage from the arrests reveals about 6 officers who were parked on the public highway and one brother was carried in a hog-tie style way and one person filming can be heard calling out the officers shaming them.

“Shame on you guys, this is not Communist China. Don’t you have family and kids? Whatever happened to ‘Canada, God keep our land glorious and free’? the onlooker stated.

Alberta Health Services acquired a Court of Queen’s Bench Order on Thursday that applies to events such as protests, gatherings, and rallies.

According to authorities, the mandate places additional limitations on protest and demonstration participants, ordering them to follow public health orders such as masking, physical distancing, and attendance caps.

The court order was made to a church service planner “in an effort to ensure that citizens attending the Saturday service were abiding by the current COVID-19 public health orders.” according to Calgary Police Service.

“The order was served prior to the church service, and CPS did not enter the church during the service. The service organizer acknowledged the injunction, but chose to ignore requirements for social distancing, mask wearing and reduced capacity limits for attendees, and continued with the event,” the police agency stated.
