Alexander Salazar who is the Vice Principal for Sweetwater Union High School in San Diego showed off a classroom with 14 desks, distanced six feet apart from each other. 14 students is the maximum number of students allowed in a classroom and are using acrylic dividers for when teachers are speaking to student or students coming to speak to the teacher at their desk.
The vice principal talked about bathroom use where, “We’re going to have the students scanned a QR code before using the restroom. This is going to take the place of a hall pass. And so as they log in to go to use the restroom, they’ll have to put down which restroom that they’re using.”
“Every time students come in, they will go ahead and grab some sanitation wipes and they’ll be wiping down each of the desks before they sit down. And then they will also be sanitizing those at the end of class for the new students to come in. This way that we make sure that they’re sanitized before and after,” Salazar stated.
