‘Children Do Not See Skin Color’: Father Dismisses Critical Race Theory In Viral Video

A video of a father talking to his young daughter as he dismissed calls to push critical race theory has gone viral.

In the video originally posted on TikTok in May, according to Newsweek Kory Yeshua, a black American man, tells his daughter that there is no limit to what she can do.

“Daddy teaches: You can be anything in this world that you want to be right, don’t daddy teach you that?” Yeshua said in the video.

In response, his daughter agrees with him, saying “it doesn’t matter if you’re black or white or any color.”

“Doesn’t matter if you’re black, white, brown, yellow, right? And how we treat people is based on who they are and not what color they are,” he added.

To which, his toddler retorted: “And if they’re nice and smart!”

Towards the end of the now-viral video, Yeshua dismissed the increasing push by Democrats to teach critical race theory in schools.

“See, this is how children think right here,” Yeshua says.

“Critical race theory wants to end that. Not with my children. It’s not gonna happen,” he added. “My baby’s gonna know that no matter what she wants to be in life all she has to do is work hard and she can become that.”

His daughter then chimed in saying: “Work hard even though you don’t know anyone, you can make friends!”

“You can make friends, no matter what color they are, so we need to stop critical race theory, period. Point blank,” Yeshua added.

Yeshua appeared on Sky News Australia to share why he made the video:

He went on to reiterate that unlike grown-ups, children “do not see skin color.”

“Children do not see skin color. They love everybody. If they’re good people we love them,” Yeshua said.

The Daily Caller  wrote that critical race theory “holds that America is fundamentally racist, yet it teaches people to view every social interaction and person in terms of race.”

It added that according to this concept those who adhere with this ideology “pursue antiracism”  through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies.

Nonetheless, the move to push critical race theory in schools has garnered strong opposition from politicians across the country including former President Donald Trump who called it a “propaganda effort.”

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis also wants to ban critical race theory in Florida schools as clusters of bills that aimed to prohibit teaching critical race theory in schools have begun to mount in the last year.

Most recently, Tennessee became the latest state to ban teaching critical race theory in public schools  with violators at risk of losing valuable state funding.

Critics of the ideology argue that the concept of critical race theory is “harmful and divisive” and that “places group identity above individualism and creates a binary conflict between ‘oppressor’ and ‘oppressed’ in relation to race,” as the Foundation for Economic Education said.

In April, Idaho  Became the first state to ban critical race theory in public schools.
