Chris Cuomo’s CNN Producer Charged With Luring Girls For ‘Sexual’ Training

John Griffin, a veteran CNN producer, was indicted on allegations of enticing teenage girls to his Vermont ski house for “sexual subservience” training. The experienced CNN producer worked “shoulder to shoulder” with now-disgraced former anchor Chris Cuomo during his time on the network.

According to the indictment filed by the United States Attorney for the District of Vermont, John Griffin, of Stamford, Connecticut, allegedly used messaging apps to befriend and persuade mothers of young girls, telling them that “a woman is a woman regardless of her age” and that he should be the one to “train” their daughters sexually.

Griffin, 44, allegedly persuaded at least one mother of two girls to bring one of the daughters to his Ludlow ski residency in June 2020.

According to the indictment, Griffin told the mother that it was her obligation to see that her elder daughter, who was just 13 at the time, was “trained properly.”

According to court documents, Griffin, who is a father himself, wired the woman $3,000 to pay for plane tickets so that they could fly from Nevada to Boston’s Logan Airport, where he picked them up in his Tesla for the ride to Ludlow.

Authorities claim that it was at this location that “the daughter was directed to engage in, and did engage in, unlawful sexual activity”.

A federal indictment alleges that Griffin sought to seduce two other underage girls into sexual behavior via the internet. The indictment claims that Griffin used apps such as Kik and Google Hangout to carry out the alleged crimes. According to the allegations, in April 2020, Griffin recommended through video chat that a “virtual training session” be conducted, in which he instructed a mother and her 14-year-old daughter to remove their clothing and touch each other.

In June of 2020, Griffin told another mother of a 16-year-old child that she take a “little mother-daughter trip” to his Ludlow ski house for sexual training for the child, according to the indictment.

Griffin was arrested by FBI agents on Friday after a federal grand jury in Vermont indicted him on three charges of attempting to lure minors to engage in illicit sexual activity.

Griffing bragged about his close  relationship with former CNN lead anchor Chris Cuomo on his LinkedIn profile saying he worked “shoulder-to-shoulder with lead anchor Chris Cuomo, seeing him through each show and producing live breaking news across the country and around the world.”

The two worked together during Cuomo’s five years as co-anchor of CNN’s “A New Day,”

Griffin, who describes himself as a “father” on his Twitter profile and appears to be the father of three small children, worked for CNN for over nine years before leaving the network. Before that, he worked in the production departments of ABC News, Fox News, and CBS.

According to Griffin, he is an “entrepreneurial producer who combines uncommon technical skills with exceptional, experience-honed editorial judgment, always with an eye towards “How can we do it better,” How can we move forward,” “How can we add value for the audience?”

According to the indictment, the government will seek to seize the property used in the alleged offenses, which includes Griffin’s Ludlow ski house, a Tesla, and a Mercedes.

Griffin faces a minimum sentence of ten years in prison for each count against him.

In April 2010, Griffin ironically lamented the amount of child predators in America, saying, “if we’re society’s mirror, you people suck”.
