CNN Reporter Says The Taliban “Seem Friendly” While They Are Chanting “Death To America”
“They’re just chanting ‘death to America,’ but they seem friendly,” a CNN reporter in Kabul said during a live shot.
Many people were reminded of a CNN anchor who said the riots in Minneapolis were “fiery, but mostly peaceful” as the city burned around him.
Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Afghanistan’s new leader, just sent out a victory statement to his fellow Taliban members following the proclamation of the “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan” on Sunday.
Mullah Baradar made his remarks from Kabul’s presidential palace.
He said, “We have won an unexpected triumph.” “Now is the time to put our plans to the test, to show how we can best serve our people and secure their future.”
