Conservative App Parler Rakes In $20 Million In New Funding

According to a filing made on the one-year anniversary of the Jan. 6 rebellion, the conservative social networking app Parler, a safehaven from censorship used by Conservatives primarily used by Trump supporters, has received $20 million in fresh funding.

The app, praised as an alternative to Facebook and Twitter, was removed from Apple’s app store and Android’s google play store following January 6th, 2021. It was reinstated onto Apple’s app store recently.

George Farmer, a conservative politician from the United Kingdom who was appointed as the social media network’s new CEO last spring, has been entrusted with rebuilding the platform.

Axios first reported on Parler’s registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States.
