Cori “Black AOC” Bush Rants About Why She Needs Private Security While Pushing Police Defunding

Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MI) threw a political tantrum at the US Capitol to protest Biden’s lack of support for a long-term eviction moratorium, which was illegally extended by unelected bureaucrats at the CDC even after the Supreme Court ruled them unconstitutional.

Bush’s relentless antics forced her into the national spotlight, giving conservatives powerful video evidence of her hypocrisy regarding police defunding. In a CBS airing on Thursday, she said after being asked about her use of private security:

“I’m going to make sure I have security because I know. I have had attempts on my life and I have too much work to do there, too many people that need help right now for me to allow that. So, if I end up spending $200,000 if I spend 10 more dollars on it — you know what? I get to be here to do the work. So suck it up and defunding the police has to happen, we need to defund the police and put that money into social safety nets.”

Democrats are allegedly split between the defunding the police issue. While Joe Biden apparently supports law enforcement funding, many of the loud far-left voices are calling for complete defunding.

According to a USA Today/Ipsos poll done in late June and early July, slightly over one-fifth of Americans (22%) support the “defund” movement, while 77% oppose it. However, how the question is phrased is critical, as a 62 percent majority of those polled support “spending some of the police department’s budget to pay community policing and social services,” with only 38 percent opposed.

Democrats have spent the previous few months claiming that the threats of the “defund the cops” movement are exaggerated because their elected officials no longer discuss it and that Republicans are the only ones who do. White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki also claimed that Republicans are the ones pushing for police defunding.
