Democrat Tulsi Gabbard Teams Up With Growing Free Speech Platform To Fight Censorship
Gabbard stated on Twitter early Thursday morning that she will be starting a channel on the platform Rumble “soon” and that she is thrilled to be working with a company “where free speech is celebrated.”
The video platform Rumble plans to pay eight highly-known people to get more exclusive content on the platform and bring in other audiences to compete with YouTube.
“One of the interesting things about Gabbard and Greenwald is their focus on free speech and civil discourse and debate,” Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski told the Washington Examiner.
“We at Rumble don’t believe in discriminating against certain content, and so they help drive our message. They’re very aligned with the mission of our platform,” Pavlovski said to the outlet.
“Other prominent online personalities that Rumble is bringing on board as part of this new initiative include comedian Bridget Phetasy, independent content creator Matt Orfalea, online provocateur and former journalist Siraj Hashmi, business development manager Mujahed Kobbe, and left-leaning opinion writers Shant Mesrobian and Zaid Jilani,” the outlet also noted.
In a press release, Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski says, “Rumble is challenging this power structure, and the addition of these prominent creators further strengthens the cause of free thinking, open debate and discussion. Rumble will never censor civil discourse, opinion, or act like the arbiters of truth.”
“I may disagree with what you say, but I and every service member is ready to sacrifice our life to protect your right to say it. Censorship of speech must end. I’ll be launching my channel soon on Rumble.com where free speech is celebrated,” Gabbard wrote to Twitter.
