Donald Trump Shreds Obama Going To Baseball Game With Raúl Castro ‘While They Imprisoned And Beat Cuban People’
Former President Donald Trump blasted former President Barack Obama for going to a baseball game with Cuban dictator Raul Castro and supporting him, stating that the “Communist Cuban Government” had “imprisoned, beat, and killed the Cuban people.”
“Remember when Obama attended baseball games with the Castros while they imprisoned, beat, and killed the Cuban people,” Trump said in his statement offering support for the Cubans.
“I stand with the Cuban people 100% in their fight for freedom,” Trump added.
“Big demonstrations are breaking out in Cuba and Miami in protest of the Communist Cuban Government,” Trump also wrote.
Trump stated not to forget how Biden and the Democrats last year “campaigned on reversing my very tough stance on Cuba.”
“The Government must let them speak and be free. Joe Biden MUST stand up to the Communist regime or—history will remember. The Cuban people deserve freedom and human rights! THEY ARE NOT AFRAID!” Trump added.

Breitbart News reported in early December 2016, the final year of the Obama administration, that Obama’s “normalization” policies with Castro had set in motion nearly 10,000 politically motivated arrests in Cuba that year.
According to the report, the Cuban Commission for Human Rights and National Reconciliation (CCDHRN), a non-governmental organization on the island, has identified 359 politically motivated or arbitrary detentions of political dissidents, on top of the 9,484 arrests conducted so far the year.
Obama and his family had visited Cuba earlier that year for an exhibition baseball game between the Cuban national team and the Tampa Bay Rays. The audience erupted in applause as Obama and Castro arrived at the Havana stadium. Before the game and the Cuban attendance, the two also performed the “wave.”

Thousands fewer political arrests were made in Cuba under Trump’s presidency than during Obama’s. There were just 3,157 recorded detentions in 2019.
