Every Second Matters: Police Officers Catch Kidnapper, Highway Officer Saves Man Choking
Police bodycam footage and dashcam footage have been released from Louisville Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The bodycam footage from the Louisville police reveals police officers rescuing a six-year-old girl after being kidnapped outside her house in Kentucky and officers were able to locate the suspect in 30 minutes.
Police removed the six-year-old victim from the suspects vehicle and the girl can be heard shouting, “I want my daddy.”
Witnesses informed the Louisville Metro Police Department that the girl was riding her bicycle in Louisville on July 2 when she was kidnapped by a stranger in a vehicle.
A local neighbor told WHAS-TV that he noticed the car pull up in the middle of the street grabbing the child “by the collar” and driving off with her.
He claims to have pursued the vehicle and recorded a description and partial license plate information, which he later provided to authorities.
In 30 minutes, they were able to locate the car and arrest the suspect.
Bodycam video shows an officer approaching a vehicle and shouting “open the passenger door” and “put your hands in the air” at the suspect, later identified as Robby Wildt, 40.
When another officer arrives on scene, he unlocks the vehicle door, and discovers a little child sobbing, “I want my daddy.”
Mr. Wildt then appears to be kneeling on the ground, his hands raised over his head.
He was charged with kidnapping a child and has pled not guilty to the crime.
Louisville Metro Police Sergeant Joe Keeling said it is “extremely rare for us to see a stranger kidnapping”.
“She’s a six-year-old girl that obviously couldn’t help herself. She was absolutely terrified. I hate the fact she went through this,” he told local media.
“I hate the fact this is probably something that’s going to affect her the rest of her life.
“But we were able to get there, get in the area, find her, rescue her from her captor, and we were able to prevent anything worse than what had already happened from happening to her.”
Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper saves man choking after swallowing bag of marijuana…
During a traffic stop, one trooper ended up having to give the Heimlich maneuver to a man who got pulled over.
“The video was posted on the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Facebook page. It was recorded on the state trooper’s dash cam inside the patrol car,” according to WKYC.
The trooper approached the drivers window to talk with him and realized the man was choking.
“I’m sorry,” the man says to the state trooper in the video after being saved.
The state trooper responds, “It’s a minor misdemeanor. You want to die over a minor misdemeanor?”
“No word yet on what charges the man faces,” WKYC reported.
