Facebook’s Rival ‘MeWe’ Gains 2.5 Million Members In One Week

More users are signing up for ‘MeWe’ because of it’s ad-free platform aimed to compete at other traditional social media models that use data collection for targeted ads.

The social media platform is at 16 million members and growing compared to June 2020, MeWe stated it was at 8 million members.

Inspire to Thrive wrote, “This social media network named MeWe is considered the anti-Facebook network. It has similar features and feels a lot like Facebook.”

In MeWe’s June press release they stated, “MeWe is the uplifting, Next-Gen Social Network with data privacy and cutting-edge
features. No Ads, No Targeting, No Facial Recognition, No Election Interference, No Newsfeed Manipulation, No BS.”

MeWe launched in 2016 and tells users they will not censor their views or behavior that would normally violate the policies of Facebook and Twitter.
