FBI-Wanted Felon Who Shouted Racial Slurs At Asian NYPD Cop Gets Arrested

According to the New York Post, a career criminal who was seen on camera hurling racist slurs at a Vietnamese-American police officer in Washington Square Park earlier this month was detained by the feds in early June.

According to an FBI spokesperson, Shermaine Laster, of Brooklyn, was arrested at JFK Airport on a Texas arrest warrant charging him with being a criminal in possession of a firearm.

The convicted criminal was apprehended after reportedly posting pictures of firearms on Instagram, including one of himself holding a handgun at a Texas shooting range.

“Sitting watching TV smoking my cigar! I’m ready for WAR!!!!,” Laster allegedly wrote on his post.

Video posted by journalist Ian Miles Cheong, “BLM activists yells racial slurs at an Asian NYPD officer.

Laster also shared another photo with several weapons with the remark, “No game!!! Proud boys, KKK, skin heads, whitesupremacy I’m not playing absolutely NO GAMES with your kind!! I just wish My ppl wake up and unify before it’s too late. (Black toys) good to fight in the dark!!”

Laster made news earlier this month when he repeatedly called Officer Philip Huynh a “ch**k” while attempting to remove protestors from the park with other police officers.

“I’m on the sidewalk, what you gonna do? What’s your name? You’re not even from this country. You piece of sh**. You f**king ch**k!” Laster screamed.

Laster responded by saying that black people can’t be racists, and that “the cops are not our friends.”

Laster has a history of 13 arrests, seven of which were felonies. According to the New York Post, four of his previous arrests were on weapons-related offenses.
