Former Superman Actor Dean Cain Responds To DC Comics, Who Have Now Made Superman Bisexual

Dean Cain, a former Superman actor, has accused DC Comics of jumping on a bandwagon by announcing that the character’s newest version would be bisexual.

Jon Kent, the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane, will be shown in the upcoming issue in a same-sex relationship with his buddy Jay Nakamura, according to the comic book.

It may have been “brave” 20 years ago, but according to Cain (who portrayed Superman on television in the 1990s), it is no longer so.

They said it’s a bold new direction. I say they’re bandwagoning,” he added.

“I don’t think it’s bold or brave or some crazy new direction ” “If they had done this 20 years ago, perhaps that would be bold or brave. But brave would be having him fight for the rights of gay people in Iran.”

In a recent storyline in the comic book series, the superhero was battling the deportation of refugees from Metropolis, which he successfully prevented.

On Fox & Friends, Cain went on to say that having Superman battle “fight the injustices that created the refugees whose deportation he’s protesting” would be a more appropriate narrative twist at this time.

“That would be brave, I’d read that,” the US actor said. “Or fighting for the rights of women to attend school and work and live and boys not to be raped by men under the new warm and fuzzy Taliban.

“There’s real evil in this world today, real corruption and government overreach,” he continued. “It’d be great to tackle those issues. I’d like to see the character doing that.”
