Harris Campaign Scrambles As Tim Walz’s Stolen Valor Scandal Erupts

The Kamala Harris 2024 campaign is in full panic mode, desperately trying to explain why Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) lied about his military service. Since being named Harris’s running mate, Walz has been under fire for falsely claiming to have served “in war,” igniting a storm of stolen valor accusations that the campaign can’t seem to shake.

Walz, who spent 24 years in the Army National Guard, never saw combat and retired as a master sergeant in 2005, just before his unit deployed to Iraq. Yet, he repeatedly lied, inflating his rank to sergeant major and implying he went to war. In a Harris campaign video, Walz shockingly claimed he carried weapons “in war” and falsely stated he served for 25 years.

Veterans who served with Walz are furious, accusing him of abandoning his unit right before they deployed to Iraq at the height of the conflict. This betrayal has haunted his career, but now it’s exploding into the national spotlight.

Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) didn’t hold back at a recent press conference. “When the United States of America asked me to go to Iraq, I did it honorably. Tim Walz, on the other hand, dropped out of the Army and let his unit go without him. It’s shameful,” Vance declared.

The White House, predictably, dodged the issue. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre offered a weak defense, merely reciting Walz’s resume and refusing to address the false claims. “This is someone who enlisted at 17 and served for 24 years. His bio speaks for itself,” she said, sidestepping the real questions.

Walz himself has remained silent, ignoring direct questions about his military record. When pressed by the Washington Post, the Harris-Walz campaign provided no explanations, instead issuing a vague statement about Walz’s experience with “weapons of war.” The campaign’s attempt to deflect criticism by praising Vance’s service was seen as a weak attempt to change the subject.

Even left-leaning media outlets like CNN couldn’t ignore the lies. One commentator bluntly called Walz’s claims “absolutely false.”

Now, serious questions are being raised about Harris’s vetting process. Reports reveal that former Attorney General Eric Holder was involved in vetting Walz. Despite Holder’s assurances, the whirlwind 16-day vetting process appears to have been rushed and inadequate, leaving Harris vulnerable to this damaging scandal.

As the controversy swirls, Harris’s decision-making and leadership are under intense scrutiny. If she can’t manage her own campaign, how can she handle the pressures of the Oval Office? This is a disaster for the Harris-Walz ticket, and it’s only just beginning. Stay tuned, because this scandal is far from over.
