Hunter Biden Sent ‘Best Wishes’ From ‘Entire Biden Family’ To China Firm Chairman, Asks For US$10M Wire In 2017

After reports of his US$400K undeclared income in 2014, Hunter Biden is back in the spotlight as a new email surfaced detailing how in 2017 the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden sent his regards to a China firm chairman and asked him to ‘quickly’ wire US$10 million to fund a joint venture with the Chinese energy company.

Fox News first reported the news, citing an email sent by Hunter Biden on June 18, 2017, to Zhao Runlong, who works for CEFC where he extended “best wishes from the entire Biden family” to the firm’s Chairman Ye Jianming, and also urged him to send a US$10 million wire to “properly fund and operate” the joint venture with the now-bankrupt Chinese energy firm.

The son of Joe Biden asked Zhao Runlong in his email to “translate my letter to Chairman Ye, please extend my warmest best wishes and that I hope to see the Chairman soon.”

“I hope my letter finds you well. I regret missing you on your last visit to the United States. Please accept the best wishes from the entire Biden family as well as my partners,” Hunter Biden reportedly wrote in the letter, dated June 17, 2017. “We are all hoping to see you here again soon, or in Shanghai.”

US$10M for joint venture funding

According to the reports, the younger Biden then went on to update the CEFC chairman on the developments with SinoHawk Holdings, the joint venture with CEFC — including the appointment of his business associate Tony Bobulinski, who he wrote would “act as the CEO” of the company.

“He is a very close friend of James Gilliar and the Biden family and joined our team to focus on the execution of things as a partner,” Hunter said, adding that this Bobulinski “has invested capital all over the world for some of the world’s wealthiest families.”

The son of Joe Biden then noted in his letter that Bobulinski had “sent a request to Dong Gongwen [Gongwen Dong] and Director Zang for the funding of the US$10 MM USD wire.”

“I would appreciate if you will send that quickly so we can properly fund and operate Sinohawk,” Hunter Biden wrote.

He added: “I am sure you have been well briefed by our dear friend Director Zang on the political and economic connections we have established in countries where you are interested in expanding during the coming months and years,” adding that he “look[s] forward to our next meeting.”

Ties with the Chinese Communist Party

Citing a separate email it obtained, Fox News said Ye’s response to Biden’s email where the CEFC chairman said he had arranged to “expedite the charter capital input to SinoHawk.”

“I will continue to pay attention and give my support,” Ye stated in his response email dated July 10, 2017. “I have arranged Director Zang and Gongwen Dong to expedite the charter capital input to SinoHawk.”

“I look forward to meeting you in the near future and discussing our joint undertaking. If there is anything I could do please do not hesitate to write to me,” Ye added, noting to Biden to “please accept my best regards to you and your family.”

The news outlet said, however, that the US$10 million wire request was never completed.

The Senate’s Homeland Security Committee and Finance Committee said in a September report that based on their investigation into Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings, Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong and other Chinese nationals that the son of Joe Biden had transactions with were all linked to the Chinese Communist government and the People’s Liberation Army.

“Those associations resulted in millions of dollars in questionable transactions/cash flow,” the report said.

Grand jury investigation in Hunter Biden

Earlier Hunter Biden also hit the headlines for not reporting “approximately US$400,000” from the income he collected from his board position at the controversial Ukrainian natural gas firm, Burisma Holdings in 2014. The same email that revealed this, also showed how the younger Biden’s attorney  cited the need to ‘amend’ his tax returns that time.

The son of former VP Biden is said to be the subject/target of a grand jury investigation.

Meanwhile, reports said President Donald Trump is mulling to appoint a special counsel to look into Hunter Biden’s case after out-going Attorney General William Barr didn’t publicly announce the ongoing, two-year investigation into the younger Biden earlier.
