Instagram Model Belle Delphine Gives A 🔥 Response When Asked About Her Views On Social Media Censorship (VIDEO)
Popular Instagram model Belle Delphine said she is ‘passionately against’ social media censorship.
Belle Delphine recently posted a picture on Instagram with the caption, “Ask [me] any question.”
One of Belle Delphine’s 3 million followers asked her in a comment, “What do you think about Facebook censoring people and deleting accounts if they don’t like your political view[?]”
The 19-year-old British cosplay model responded with the following comment:
I am so passionately against this. I think it’s so wrong for a platform to deem what political views are acceptable. Platforms are made for discussion. Free speech is so important, I don’t get why some people have to completely SILENCE the voices of the people they disagree with… why can’t they just listen and then just disagree and move on?
Belle Delphine’s criticism of Facebook comes just weeks after Facebook and Instagram banned several major conservative commentators, such as Paul Joseph Watson and Laura Loomer. Facebook and Instagram also banned the leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan.
Belle Delphine isn’t the only celebrity to speak out against censorship by Facebook. Rapper Snoop Dogg spoke out against the censorship by encouraging his followers to share their favorite video of Louis Farrakhan on Facebook and Instagram.
President Trump has tweeted multiple times about the issue of social media censorship. Trump even retweeted Paul Joseph Watson, who was banned by Facebook and Instagram.
However, it remains unclear if the White House will do anything about the issue.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently met with French President Emmanuel Macron. After the meeting, Zuckerberg wrote in a Facebook post that he wants more governments to get more involved with restricting and policing online content and speech.
Millions of online free speech advocates are opposed to Zuckerberg’s approach. Many believe that large social media platforms are now a utility or a “public square.”
Many Americans are now calling on the federal government to take action to guarantee that online free speech, particularly political speech, is a civil right guaranteed by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
