Joe Biden: ‘I Like Kids Better Than People’

Joe Biden raised eyebrows during a CNN town hall when he stated that he “likes kids better than people.” Biden made the strange comment while he spoke to host Anderson Cooper about his new baby.

It didn’t take long for conservatives to pounce on the Democrat president. Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany tweeted, “Signing off with a final notable quote from Joe Biden during his town hall this evening: ‘Everyone knows I love kids better than people.’”

Biden’s apparent support for policies that benefit children is contradicted by his unwillingness to protect the unborn. When asked about providing taxpayer funds to abortion services, White Press Secretary Jen Psaki glossed over the question. Currently, the Hyde Amendment prohibits this, but leftist pressure may force Biden to buckle.

“Can [Psaki] guarantee Americans who don’t want their tax dollars, pro-life Americans who don’t want their tax dollars funding abortion, can the administration guarantee those taxpayer dollars won’t go to the abortion industry?” [Owen] Jensen asked Jen Psaki.

“Well, I think, Owen, as I’ve just noted, three-quarters of the public supports the components of the package, wants to see the pandemic get under control, wants to see people put back to work, vaccines in arms,” she responded. “So I think that answers your question. Okay, we’re gonna move on.”

As Politico reported, Biden has already opened the door for foreign aid funds to be allowed for abortions.

Additionally, Biden broke the U.S. off from the Trump-signed Geneva Consensus Declaration, which states “there is no international right to abortion, nor any international obligation on the part of States to finance or facilitate abortion.”

“Domestically, Biden additionally signed a memorandum directing the Department of Health and Human Services to review and consider scrapping the Trump administration’s rule that overhauled the Title X federal family planning program, stripping tens of millions of dollars in grants from Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers,” Politico added. “Hundreds of providers have left the Title X program over the past couple of years, leaving big gaps in care.”

Biden has also allowed teachers’ unions to trample over the reopening of schools, a move that fatigued parents have fought against.

There have been growing concerns about children’s health being negatively affected by online learning. Dr. Theodore Ganley is an orthopedic surgeon at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics section on orthopedics.

“If kids are slouched and sitting with their feet off the ground, they’re hunched over, they’re staring for hours upon hours without breaks, they can get neck strain, back strain, eye strain,” Dr. Ganley told NBC News. “These are the kinds of things that can affect anyone.”
