John Kerry Confronted Over His Private Jet Use To Travel To Iceland For Climate Award

John Kerry defended his decision to use a private jet to travel to Iceland in 2019 to received the Article Circle award for his climate leadership.

Fox News reported the incident was not covered in the American press during that time and Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, who led the Arctic Circle Roundtable confronted Kerry for showing up to the event in a private jet.

The Icelandic reporters also questioned Kerry asking if his private jet was an environmental way to travel and he claimed that it was the only way for him to show up.

Kerry stated, “If you offset your carbon — it’s the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle,”

Kerry also wanted people to now how he negotiated the Paris Accords for the United States and taking credit for his negotiation with the Chinese President Xi to getting him to the table to get Paris.

Kerry has been heavily criticized as this story continues to gain more attention in the media.
