Liberal Billionaire George Soros Recently Donated Millions To This Organization That Calls For “Dismantling” The Police
As violent crime rises in major urban areas across the country, liberal mega-donor George Soros has given $1 million to an activist group seeking to defund the police.
According to Federal Election Commission records obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, Soros contributed the million dollars on May 14 through his radical communist “Color Of Change” PAC.
The organization bills itself as “the nation’s largest online racial justice organization” and it actively works to defund police agencies, such as through distributing an online petition calling for “divesting from and dismantling the systems that unjustly harm Black people.”
The organization also supported the Milwaukee City Council’s effort to defund the police.
“Policing is a violent institution that must end,” the head of the organization said in a statement backing the action. “We envisage a world where there is enough money to educate our children, care for the sick, and feed the hungry. This goal is made possible by defunding the cops.”
This year, violent crime has increased substantially in several big cities across the United States, including regions where Soros has spent enormous sums of money promoting Democratic candidates who have vowed to lower sentencing standards and enact flexible bail reform legislation.
Soros contributed millions of dollars in 2018 to assist elect current Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon, who pledged to be soft on criminals and decriminalize many illegal activities. The Los Angeles City Council shifted LAPD money to liberal social outreach organizations in 2021.
Murders in Los Angeles have increased by 20% this year, and violent crime has increased, contributing to a burgeoning homeless issue that many say Gascon’s actions have exacerbated.
Soros spent over $2 million to elect District Attorney Larry Krasner in Philadelphia, which has the highest murder rate per capita among the country’s ten largest cities, and killings are up 35% this year.
“When George Soros funded scores of elections for prosecutors who have no intention of prosecuting criminals and every intention of prosecuting police officers, he knew exactly what he was doing,” said Mark Levin, host of Fox News’ Life, Liberty, and Levin in 2020. “He was funding a counter-revolution in the U.S.”
