Masked Parent Gets Triggered By 9-Year-Old’s Speech Calling Out Board For BLM Posters In School

A 9-year-old kid blasted a school board for flipping on a policy prohibiting instructors from displaying Black Lives Matter signs.

The girl is seen appearing before the Lakeville Area School Board on June 8 in a viral video that has gone viral this week.

Students are fighting back against critical race theory while it sneaks into schools across the country. School boards continue to push racially-charged curriculum even after pushback from concerned stakeholders.

At Lakeville Elementary School, the child, who only went by the name “Novalee,” claimed she noticed Black Lives Matter and Amanda Gorman posters on her teacher’s wall. She said that the appearance of these posters violated the school board’s previous statement that “no politics in school.”

She told her principal about the Black Lives Matter banner, according to the student. She said she asked for it to be removed, but the principal refused.

The administrator reportedly informed her that the school board members were the ones who created the posters when she referenced a school board policy banning Black Lives Matter posters in the district’s schools.

“When I was heard two weeks ago, you told us to report any BLM in our schools. Apparently, you know they’re in our schools because you made the signs,” the student said.

She claims that changing the color or style of the posters does not alter their core political message: “getting rid of police officers, rioting, burning buildings down while King Gov. (Tim) Walz just sits on his throne and watches.”

“I am nine years old and I know that. You expect to believe that you did not know what you were doing when you were making these posters? C’mon people!” she said.

She added that she judges individuals “by the way they treat me.” rather than their skin color.

She then cited a passage from Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic “I Have a Dream Speech,” in which he said, “I have a dream that one day my four little children will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.’ That dream has come true. I do not care or look at the color of skin. But you make me think of it. I have Asian, Mexican, White, Chinese, Black friends and I don’t care. I like them because some of them make me laugh.”

“Some are sweet and kind, sporty or share the love of God. They are just my friends. You have lied to me and I am very disappointed in all of you. You cannot even follow your own rules. If you’re going to do that, why do we follow any rules we deemed unfair or ridiculous? I’m not following your mask rule anymore then. Get the posters out of our schools,” the student concluded.

A masked speaker spoke out after the student to defend BLM.

“Oh, by the way, black lives matter, black lives matter, um black lives matter, black lives matter, black lives matter. Black lives matter. I can keep saying this for the rest of my time. I want to thank you for your equity efforts. Please do not back off of this. It is the right thing to do. Black Americans are the only people in our country who are taken here against their will. That is a fact,” the masked woman claimed.

The 9-year-old wanted the masked woman to know that she disagrees.

“Oh, do you disagree? Really? You disagree with me that black Americans were taken here?” the woman told the young child.

The board told the masked woman to be respectful and she continued, “I’m asking her. I’m asking her her opinion. She’s got an- I’m happy to share my time.”

“I am nine years old,” the student told the woman.

The masked woman responded to say that she knows and it breaks her heart to heart that the child disagrees with her.
