Maskless San Francisco Mayor Breaks Health Order, Seen Partying With BLM Co-Founder At Nightclub

San Francisco Mayor London Breed was recently seen partying maskless with a co-founder of Black Lives Matter (BLM) at a nightclub breaking her own masking mandate.

Several people posted about Breed’s rendezvous— many blasting the Democratic mayor for not following her city’s mask mandate

“She’s been very clear that everybody needs to do their part, we’re not out of the woods. San Francisco’s rules have been very restrictive, and I don’t see her playing her part in that photo,” said Danielle Rabkin, Crossfit Golden Gate Gym owner, according to a report by NBC Bay Area.

San Francisco Mayor @LondonBreed partied maskless indoors with Black Lives Matter activists. Do any Democrats actually obey their own mask mandates?” Free Beacon journalist Matthew Foldi commented.

The San Francisco Chronicle said the Black Cat Nightclub’s Instagram page had also posted— then deleted a photo showing the San Francisco mayor partying maskless with friends.

Nonetheless, photos and videos of the Democratic mayor in the jazz club continue to swirl on social media, also showing others in the club without masks.

Breed was seen with BLM co-founder Alicia Garza and singer Raphael Saadiq.

According to San Francisco’s mask mandate, everyone should wear a face mask regardless of vaccination status in indoor public places.

“Everyone, including people who are fully vaccinated, must wear a well-fitted mask in indoor public settings at all times,” the mandate said, adding that “people may remove their well-fitted mask while actively eating or drinking.”

Reports noted that although there was food and drinks on a table near Breed, she was not “actively” drinking or eating when she was seen singing and posing for photos.

“Let your rules be the same as mine”

“She clearly feels like it’s fine and safe to remove her mask then let that be the rule for everybody,” Rabkin, the gym owner, commented. “You’re not impervious to COVID any more than I am, so let the rules for you be the same as the rules for me.”

Breed told the Chronicle earlier that she routinely tests for COVID-19, and that “at the end of the day, everyone who comes in here has to show proof of vaccination.”

“That gives me a lot of reassurance,” the mayor added. “I’ve been very careful, not just because I want to set an example but because I don’t want to get COVID. I also want to make sure that I’m not someone transmitting COVID to other people,” she said then. “This entire pandemic has been focused on keeping people safe.”

Fox News said the liberal mayor has yet to respond to its request for comment on the maskless photos and videos.

Last month, Breed announced the mask mandate saying, “We don’t want to shut down this city or this country down any longer than we have to. Our economy and our livelihood, and our kids going back to school, and everything in between depends on it.”

“The orders require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear face coverings when indoors in public settings, with limited exceptions,” her office said about the mandate.

This is not the first time that Breed came under fire for not following her own coronavirus guidelines. In November, she was photographed dining with seven other individuals at the posh French Laundry restaurant to celebrate the birthday of a friend, socialite Goretti Lo Lui.

The sighting came after California’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom also dined maskless with people from outside of his own household — also breaking his own Covid-19 protocol that time.

“The Mayor has strived to follow all Covid public health rules from the beginning of the pandemic. She does this not only because she is asking for residents to do their part, but also because she is trying to do her part to slow the spread of the disease. On November 7th, while taking a few days off after the election, she attended a small family birthday dinner for a friend at an open-air table at the French Laundry. There were eight people in total, including herself. The Mayor paid for her own dinner,” the mayor’s office said at that time.

Top congressional Democrat, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — a San Francisco resident — was also embroiled in a hair salon controversy last year when she was caught on camera getting visiting a shuttered San Francisco hair salon to get a wash and blow-out despite local restrictions, and without a mask despite being a staunch advocate of mask wearing and social distancing.
