Massive Lines At Trump Rally In North Carolina — President To Hold Six More Rallies Today

Supporters of President Donald Trump showed up in droves for his final campaign rally in North Carolina just two days ahead of the November 3 election.

Local reports said pro-Trump supporters started lining up for his rally as early as 7:00 a.m. for his 5:30 p.m. rally on Sunday with the queue stretching “at least half a mile long.”

The rally at the Hickory Regional Airport in North Carolina is part of the Republican President’s five-campaign rallies held in five states on Sunday — to deliver his final pitch before voters cast their ballots on Tuesday.

His itinerary two days before the presidential polls also included stops in key battleground states of Iowa, Michigan, Georgia, and Florida.

Trump: The best is yet to come

In his speech before tens of thousands of his supporters, President Trump made a strong final push to win over voters in North Carolina again, after beating 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in the battleground state 49.8% to 46.2%.

“Joe Biden is not up for this job. All you have to do is watch him for about five minutes,” the President said. “We cannot have a leader that is not sharp.”

“The best is yet to come. Proud citizens like you help us build this country, and together, we are taking back our country. We are returning the power to you, the American people,” he added.

The President also touted the country’s strong economy, and that the widely-anticipated release of the coronavirus vaccine is just around the corner, as he made his case against his Democratic challenger, touting former VP Biden as the “wrong person” for the White House.

He also paraded his accomplishments since he was elected president in 2016.

Not your usual politician

“We have made America powerful again, with our military. We have made America wealthy again. We have made America strong again. We have made America strong again. We have made America safe again. And we will make America great again,” President Trump said, as he noted that his not being an establishment politician got him elected in the first place.

“You have elected a president who is finally putting America first,” he said. “If I don’t sound like a typical Washington politician, it’s because, thankfully, I am not a politician. I don’t always play by the rules of Washington and the Washington establishment. It’s because I fight for you and there has never been anyone who has fought harder for you.”

During his Hickory stop, the President also invited Pastor Franklin Graham, the son of evangelist Billy Graham, to pray over his rally. The younger Graham said in 2019 that his father voted for the Republican president 2016.

“My father knew Donald Trump, he believed in Donald Trump, and he voted for Donald Trump. He believed that Donald J. Trump was the man for this hour in history for our nation,” the Pastor said then.

This is the incumbent president’s third visit to North Carolina in two weeks. He will return on Monday to speak in Fayetteville as part of his final campaign sprint before the election.

President Trump will also hold his final MAGA rallies in Latrobe and Scranton (Pennsylvania), Traverse City and Grand Rapids (Michigan), as well as in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Vice President Mike Pence will host the rally in Erie, Pennsylvania.
