Maxine Waters Makes Ridiculous Claims That Trump Is ‘Compromised’ By Putin — Says Americans Have To ‘Rely On Biden’ To Stand Up To Russia, China

California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, recently claimed without evidence that President Donald Trump is ‘compromised’ by Russia and called on the American public to “rely on [Joe] Biden” to stand up to Russia and China despite the former vice president’s record of rather having a softer approach to dealing with the two countries.

The staunch Trump critic was asked about Russia’s alleged hack of the US government and some tech companies to which she retorted by pushing on her years-old claim that the Republican President is a Russian surrogate.

“Well, here’s what I know about Russia and Putin. They have, in fact, you know, compromised this President,” the lawmaker told CNN over the weekend.

“This president will not condemn them, will not criticize them. And even when he knows it’s a threat, whether it is our election systems or to our energy systems, he is not going to do anything to disagree with them because he’s a compromise president,” Waters added.

The Democratic lawmaker went on to peddle her claims that Republicans and President Trump all have ties with Russia — despite the Russian collusion hoax already disproved.

“He’s a president whose allies here in the United States are connected to the oligarchs of Russia. They have money agreements, et cetera, et cetera. So, we cannot expect any pushback,” Waters said.

Rely on Biden for Russia, China

“We’ve got to rely on Biden. And we’ve got to rely on the new administration to stand up to Russia. And to stand up to China and to be the kind of government that’s looking out for the best for their country and America That’s what we’re relying on. We cannot expect anything from this administration,” the Democratic lawmaker said, not mentioning that the former VP also has questionable ties with China  — and Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, currently the subject of a “grand jury” investigation for his tax affairs and his business transactions believed to be all linked to the Chinese Communist government and the People’s Liberation Army.

The younger Biden was also earlier reported to have received US$3.5 million from Russia that “came through Putin because he was very friendly with the former mayor of Moscow” — although Hunter Biden already denied the allegation.

Meanwhile, Rep. Waters pandered on against President Trump saying the Republican president is working in favor of Russian President Vladimir Putin, rather than the American people — again, without substantiating her claims.

“Oh, absolutely. As a matter of fact, all of the intelligence has supported that. His own, you know, administration, folks in the administration are saying that this is true,” the California Democrat said when asked whether she believes Russians were behind the recent hack.

“It’s only the president who can’t open his mouth and basically live up to the expectation of the American people for support against the enemy,” she added.

Trump “tougher” on Russia than Obama

President Trump has repeatedly maintained that he has been the toughest US President in Russia, noting for example, how he authorized the expulsion of 60 Russian diplomats from the US in the wake of Russia’s alleged use of a nerve agent to poison a former Russian spy living in the United Kingdom.

“Nobody’s been tougher on Russia than the Trump Administration. With Corrupt Joe Biden & Obama, Russia had a field day, taking over important parts of Ukraine,” President Trump said earlier.

There’s been a total of 52 policy actions on Russia under the Trump administration as of December 2019 which included sanctions, indictments and Executive Orders against the Kremlin.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also earlier said it’s “crazy talk” to say the US isn’t tough on Russia under President Trump.

“Boy, that’s crazy talk. That’s absolutely crazy talk. And I’ve heard it — I’ve heard it from the previous administration. They say, ‘Oh, we’re not tough on Russia,’” Pompeo said.

“I only wish they would have put global Magnitsky on some of the bad actors in Russia in the way this administration” has,” he added, referring to the Obama-era law that lets the US punish individual human rights offenders.

“I only wish they hadn’t gutted the defense budget to the great benefit of Vladimir Putin,” he added.

In 2018, TheHill contributor Jen Kerns wrote that President Trump is tougher on Russia in his first 18 months than how his predecessor, Barack Obama has been in eight years.

“Even though the left-wing media will never give him credit, President Trump has been far tougher on Russia than his predecessor, Barack Obama,” Kerns said. “For starters, it was President Obama who, according to Reuters, was ‘caught on camera’ saying to a Russian leader that he’ll have more flexibility after the election — not President Trump.”
