Megan Fox Fires Back After Saying ‘Trump Was A Legend In UFC Arena’ Based On ‘Insane Crowd Reaction’

Megan Fox is clearing the air after being accused of backing former President Donald Trump.

The actress spoke on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” earlier this week, telling guest host Arsenio Hall about her and boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly’s recent activities, which included a vacation to Costa Rica to try ayahuasca.

The host wanted to know about Fox’s recent attendance at the UFC 264 fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, where she was joined by other celebrities. The high-profile Las Vegas match drew plenty of celebrities, including the former president, who Fox described as a “legend.” by the audience.

People were obviously offended by her comments, and many accused her of endorsing the Donald Trump. On Wednesday, the actress went to her Instagram Story to clear things up.

“UHMMM… I DO NOT ALIGN MYSELF WITH ANY POLITICAL PARTY OR INDIVIDUAL POLITICIANS. I NEVER SAID DONALD TRUMP IS A LEGEND. I SAID HE WAS A LEGEND… IN THAT ARENA (KEY PART OF THE SENTENCE),” she wrote in her all-caps story post.

Fox went on to say, “THE ARENA WAS FILLED WITH UFC FIGHT FANS. MANY OF THEM CLEARLY REPUBLICAN BASED OFF THE INSANE CROWD REACTION HE RECEIVED WALK-MOBILE VENUE. THAT WAS AN OBSERVABLE FACT. NOT MY OPINION.”

The actress jokingly compared the reaction she experienced to a medieval witch hunt in her last remark on the subject.

“REALLY LOVING THIS UNEDUCATED, MID-EVIL [sic] PITCH FORK CARRYING, BURN THE WITCH AT THE STAKE MENTALITY THOUGH. THE WORLD NEEDS MORE OF THAT,” her post concluded.

Fox did refer to Trump as a “legend,” during her appearance on the late-night talk show, but she made sure to point out that the people in the stadium were the ones who gave him a positive welcome.

“I was in a row with Bieber and Trump was also in my row. I’d never seen the Secret Service in person before so he had like 30 Secret Service with him. He was a legend. That arena was very supportive of Trump when he came in,” she said.

“I don’t know how I feel about it, because if someone is a target then like, I could be harmed because I’m adjacent to where he is. So I was worried about my own safety, that’s all I was caring about. I’d never seen anything like that before. It was crazy,” Fox added during the show.
