New Body Cam Footage Reveals Reaction From Female Victim Of Columbus Knife Attacker

The City of Columbus Police has released more body cam footage that reveals the female victims reaction from the 16-year-old girl, Ma’Khia Bryant who attacked her with a knife. Additional bodycam footage at end of article.

“She came after me with a knife so he got her,” the female told the officer.

The 16-year-old who was armed with a knife was fatally shot Tuesday by police in Columbus, Ohio and police released the additional footage to show more of what happened.

“Interim police chief Michael Woods said Wednesday that dispatchers first received a call for help at 4:32 p.m. On the call, a woman told officers that people were trying to fight and stab her and others, according to an audio recording played during the press conference. A second 911 caller also asked police to respond to the scene, but the call ended quickly after the person realized police had just arrived,” CBS News reported.

“We think it’s critically important to share as much information as possible, as quickly as possible,” Ginther said. “So, we’ll continue to share footage, other information in the hours and days ahead,” the outlet reported from the Columbus mayor.

Columbus Police was quick to do a news conference moments after the shooting occured.
