Parler’s Website Reappears Online, Mobile App Is Still Down
The CEO of Parler posted a brief message on the Parler website on Sunday.
Parler’s mobile app, however, remains offline.
“Hello world, is this thing on?” CEO John Matze posted on Parler.com.
A message addressing Parler’s current technical difficulties was posted under Matze’s comment.
“Now seems like the right time to remind you all — both lovers and haters — why we started this platform. We believe privacy is paramount and free speech essential, especially on social media. Our aim has always been to provide a nonpartisan public square where individuals can enjoy and exercise their rights to both.
“We will resolve any challenge before us and plan to welcome all of you back soon. We will not let civil discourse perish!”
Parler users are still not able to use their accounts on the website, however.
A little more than a week ago, Big Tech tyrants at Apple and Google removed the Parler app from their mobile app stores.
Parler is currently engaged in a lawsuit with Amazon after Amazon kicked Parler off of using its web servers.
Trump supporters responded to Amazon’s ban by canceling their Amazon Prime subscriptions in record numbers.
