Pelosi: Ripping Trump’s SOTU Speech Was “Courteous” Thing To Do (VIDEO)
Nancy Pelosi disgraced the country by ripping up President Trump’s State of the Union speech.
The Speaker of the House ripped up the speech while the president’s back was turned.
Pelosi told reporters that it was the “courteous” thing to do “considering the alternatives.”
Vice President Mike Pence reacted to Pelosi’s outburst by calling her childish action a “new low” for the Democrats.
“I’ve been to a lot of State of the Union addresses as a member of Congress,” said Vice President Pence on Fox News. “And now this was my fourth as a Vice President of the United States. And there’s always a basic decorum and a basic respect. But to have her stand up and tear up that speech really dishonored the moment. And I really thought it was beneath the dignity of a joint session of Congress. And I think it will be remembered as so.”
By ripping up President Trump’s patriotic speech, Pelosi displayed complete disrespect for the veterans and their families that the President mentioned during his address.
Kellyanne Conway, a counselor to the president, revealed that Pelosi has done this before in meetings, but this was the first time Pelosi did it on camera.
“That’s typical of her, that we’ve seen it here again and again. I’ve seen it in the situation room. Saw it in the cabinet room twice. I saw it in another meeting. She has a temper tantrum and then she leaves. Now the country saw it. There’s no silly picture of her standing with all those men around the cabinet. America saw an incorrigible child ripping up a Presidential State of the Union that is meant for the people.”
