‘Pharma bro’ Martin Shrkeli has reportedly been thrown in solitary confinement.

Shkreli was allegedly running his pharmaceutical company, Phoenixus, via a cellphone.  Phoenixus appears to be a reincarnation of Shkreli’s former company, Turing Pharmaceuticals, which Shkreli resigned from in 2015 following his arrest.

An insider close to Shkreli’s legal team confirmed to Forbes that Shkreli has now been placed in solitary confinement for using a cellphone.

Shkreli and Turing Pharmaceuticals were highly criticized in 2015 for raising the price of the drug ‘Daraprim’ from $13.50 to $750 per tablet.

Shkreli earned the nickname ‘Pharma bro’ because he was a huge troll on Twitter.  Shkreli was permanently banned from Twitter in 2017 for “targeted harassment.”

Shkreli is currently serving a seven year prison sentence for securities fraud.
