Report: Dems Think Harris Isn’t Capable Of Beating A GOP Nominee, Even If Opponent Is Trump
Democrats, including even a few Biden administration officials, are apparently so worried about Vice President Kamala Harris’ mistakes that they doubt she could defeat a Republican in 2024 if she were to run for president — even if her opponent is former President Trump.
Axios reported Friday that Democrats close to the White House are worried about Harris’ handling of politically serious matters and “political tone deafness,”
The right criticised the vice president for her months-long unwillingness to visit the southern border despite being named lead person for the migrant crisis.
“Oh, no, our heir apparent is f—ing up, what are we gonna do?” but instead think “Oh, she’s f—ing up, maybe she shouldn’t be the heir apparent,” according to a liberal operative who spoke with Axios.
Biden’s associates still think he will be the Democratic candidate in 2024, but they recognize that the president will be 81 years old when he runs for re-election. If Biden steps down, Harris, the first Black and Asian woman to serve as vice president, would be a push to win the nomination.
Several recent headlines have highlighted tensions between the West Wing and the vice president’s office, as well as communication problems and mistrust among Harris’ aides and top officials.

The commander in chief and the vice president are in agreement, according to White House chief of staff Ron Klain.
“The president’s trust and confidence in her is obvious when you see them in the Oval Office together,” he told Axios.
Cedric Richmond, a senior advisor to President Joe Biden called the allegations of conflict and mistrust “a whisper campaign designed to sabotage [Harris].”
Some Biden staffers believe Harris’ press shop is giving her poor counsel, and that her loss of two top staffers and a digital director is alarming.
According to a Politico report based on interviews with 22 current and former aides, a large part of the criticism was directed at Harris’ chief of staff Tina Flournoy, who aides claimed limited access to Harris and contributed to a culture “where ideas are ignored or met with harsh dismissals and decisions are dragged out.”
A report from CNBC mirrored the public’s worries about Flournoy’s leadership. According to the publication, Harris’ chief of staff “effectively shut out” some of the vice president’s political and corporate friends, including major contributors.
According to a source familiar with the situation, Flournoy had stalled on a request from Forbes to include Harris in its debut “50 over 50” issue months ago, and the West Wing had to step in to obtain a response for Forbes. Flournoy was just confirming the facts, according to an assistant. In the end, the VP was featured in the magazine.
