WATCH: Black Republican Candidate Challenges Incumbent Ilhan Omar, Blasts Her For Using Identity Politics & Allegedly Marrying Her Brother

President Trump has endorsed GOP candidate Lacy Johnson who is running to defeat far-left Democrat Ilhan Omar in Minnesota’s 5th district.

“I believe in the Reagan view that the role of government is to do things for people which they cannot do for themselves,” Johnson said in a video posted on his Twitter account. “Government does not solve problems. It subsidizes them. For evidence, look at Baltimore or any place where socialist Democrats have been in control for years.”

Johnson stated that leftist policies have heavily contributed to the poor condition of his district.

“I live in one of the poorer districts in the state of Minnesota,” Johnson stated in the same Twitter video. “In fact, probably the poorest. And I’ve been living here for almost four decades. The issues facing the people in the community, the people of color, the poor people of color, poor people in communities are not getting any better, they’re getting worse. We keep sending liberal Democrats to Congress and to all those various government offices and I think there’s a direct connection between us sending them there, the philosophy and methods and programs of liberal Democrats, and the fact that these situations keep getting worse.”

Johnson slammed Omar for exploiting identity politics to win her Democrat primary.

“Given that Democrats, they are into this identity politics and she checked all the boxes that they wanted to send a message to the country and to send their anti-Trump message to the country. She was a Muslim. She was an immigrant. She was a female and she was a person of color.”

Johnson blasted Omar for her alleged affair with a political consultant whom she is now married to.

In response to a question about the affair asked by One America News host Jack Posobiec, Johnson replied, “Your private life becomes your public life. That when you start doing things like that in your private life, whether illegal or immoral or whatever, it affects your ability to get things done for your constituents.”

Johnson continued, “And that’s what I see happening here. Just bad choices, bad decisions all the way around. So I’m just totally against it. I think it’s disgusting if it’s true. And once again, just another reason she deserved to be given her walking papers and leave Congress.”

Omar has been criticized and called to resign by President Trump for her remarks deemed as anti-semitic.

President Trump stated that Omar may have committed immigration fraud by marrying her brother.

When a White House reporter asked the president “is your administration possibly looking into immigration fraud committed by Ilhan Omar by possibly hearing her brother, Ahmed?” Trump replied, “Well there’s a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother.  I know nothing about it. I hear she was married to her brother. You’re asking me a question about it? I don’t know. But I’m sure that somebody would be looking at that.”
