Sen. Ted Cruz Slams John Kerry For Allegedly Leaking Israeli Secrets To Iran

Senator Ted Cruz slammed John Kerry for the allegations that Kerry may have leaked Israeli attacking to Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif on Tuesday’s Senate floor.

“If verified, these reports would mean he maliciously endangered not just Israeli national security, but American lives. If these reports are true. John Kerry should resign. And if he doesn’t resign, President Biden should fire him,” Sen. Cruz stated.

On Monday, Sen. Cruz released a statement in a press release in response to the New York Times reporting on the leak audiotape of Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who claimed that President Biden’s current Special Envoy for Climate, John Kerry, shared with Zarif that Israel is who attacked Iranian interest in Syria at least 200 times.

“If this tape is verified, it would signal catastrophic and disqualifying recklessness by Envoy Kerry to Foreign Minister Zarif that endangered the safety of Americans and our allies. And it would be consistent with his long pattern of empowering Iran’s regime. Kerry poured hundreds of billions of dollars into the Ayatollah’s terrorist bank accounts, was a close confidant with Zarif during the Obama administration, and was caught repeatedly meeting with him during the Trump administration (notwithstanding the Logan Act) – and has never publicly accounted for what they discussed,” according to Sen. Cruz’s statement from the press release.

“Former Secretary of State John Kerry informed him that Israel had attacked Iranian interests in Syria at least 200 times, to his astonishment, Mr. Zarif said,” the NYT reported.

“Colin Kahl was prominent in shaping Obama-Biden policies on Israel and Iran, and he has been credibly accused of weaponization and leaking classified information. I recently joined 17 other senators in a letter to FBI Director Wray requesting that the FBI immediately investigate whether he did so. But we’re not going to have the answer before we vote today, and I don’t see how he can be principally advanced without it,” Cruz stated Tuesday’s Senate floor.

“Mr. President, on issues of foreign policy, this body is often united, when standing up against our enemies and standing for our friends. This nominee, I believe, is the most virulently anti-Israel nominee who would serve in the entire Biden administration. Many of our friends on the Democratic aisle like to say they support the nation of Israel. Well, this is a chance to demonstrate. You mean it because you cannot vote to confirm a rabid anti-Israel conspiracy theory tweeting radical to the number three position in the Department of Defense and then claim you’re a reliable friend of Israel. Colin Kahl’s record is extreme, fringe and radical. He has a lifelong obsession with an antipathy to the state of Israel, and he’s demonstrated a willingness to endanger Israeli lives and American lives to advance that hostility. I urge our colleagues on both sides of the aisle to oppose this nomination,” Sen. Cruz also stated.

Meanwhile, Gen-Z Republican Congressman Cawthorne slammed Kerry for promoting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s green doomsday prophecies.

Mr. Kerry, why do you always tend to move away from things like nuclear power? Why do you say that we actually don’t have any way to fix our country? Why do you allow people like AOC to say that our world is going to end in 12 years? I believe two of those years were already passed. So in 10 years is all going to be over. I definitely do believe in conservation in Genesis,” Rep. Cawthorne responded.

“I’m called to be a steward of the Earth. And so I believe in passing off a world that’s more healthy than the one that I received to the next generation. But the way I believe that we do that is we obviously diversify our energy portfolio. So that means more things like solar, that means more things like nuclear energy, which I believe is really the best option,” the congressman also shared.
