Shocking Footage Reveals Billions Of Dollars’ Worth Of US Military Weapons In The Hands Of Taliban Terrorists
Biden’s national security advisor, Jake Sullivan, revealed on Tuesday that “a fair amount” of US military weaponry fell into the hands of Taliban terrorists when they quickly seized control of Afghanistan.
But, in terms of numbers, what is a “fair amount“? New video evidence suggests that Sullivan may have underestimated the number of American weapons captured by the Taliban.
Reporter: “What happens to the billions of dollars’ worth of weaponry that the U.S. gave Afghanistan? Does the U.S. have a plan for that, or does it remain in the Taliban (inaudible)?”
MR. SULLIVAN: “We don’t have a complete picture, obviously, of where every article of defense materials has gone, but certainly a fair amount of it has fallen into the hands of the Taliban. And obviously, we don’t have a sense that they are going to readily hand it over to us at the airport.”
With the American military presence now confined to Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport, billions of dollars in military weapons were left behind when American troops were forced to depart their sites and Afghan security forces, who were armed in part with American tax payer money, imploded.
Social media videos show Taliban troops collecting thousands of weapons and ammo.
One video showed a nearly endless amount of different firearms, body armor, and other military equipment, and all are now in the hands of Taliban terrorists.

Taliban terrorists have also captured US drones and military vehicles, as previously reported.
The #Taliban not only seized appr. a hundred US humvees and (MaxxPro) MRAPs at Kunduz airport, but also several US ScanEagle drones.

The Washington Post highlighted the Afghan government corruption that assisted the Taliban’s quick takeover, as well as how so many American weapons ended up in the hands of terrorists.
According to the report:
“The spectacular collapse of Afghanistan’s military that allowed Taliban fighters to walk into the Afghan capital Sunday despite 20 years of training and billions of dollars in American aid began with a series of deals brokered in rural villages between the militant group and some of the Afghan government’s lowest-ranking officials.”
“The deals, initially offered early last year, were often described by Afghan officials as cease-fires, but Taliban leaders were in fact offering money in exchange for government forces to hand over their weapons, according to an Afghan officer and a U.S. official.”
“Over the next year and a half, the meetings advanced to the district level and then rapidly on to provincial capitals, culminating in a breathtaking series of negotiated surrenders by government forces, according to interviews with more than a dozen Afghan officers, police, special operations troops and other soldiers.”
According to all reports, the quantity of American military equipment captured by the Taliban cost taxpayers billions of dollars. Nonetheless, neither the Biden administration nor the military has indicated that US weaponry would be returned.
When asked by a reporter on Monday what measures the US military was taking to reclaim US military assets, Maj. Gen. Hank Taylor said, “I don’t have the answer to that question.”
