The Religion Of Peace: Reports Of Forced Marriages And Executions ‘Door To Door’ Searches Inside Afghanistan

According to reports, Taliban fighters in Kabul are conducting door-to-door searches for Afghan politicians, military personnel and many others who have worked with the US and other western nations.

Taliban insurgents also searched for reporters. Refugees who rushed to Kabul before its collapse claim the Taliban has already started forced marriages and killings in distant cities and villages.

“Taliban fighters going door-to-door in #Kabul, looking for government employees, soldiers and police, and Afghans who worked with foreign govts and NGOs, several residents tell me,” another journalist tweeted. “Some have been taken away, family members say. In other cases, houses have been searched and documents/weapons confiscated. Taliban also recording names/addresses.”

“Taliban started door to door search looking for govt officials, former police & security forces members & those who worked for foreign countries NGOs or infrastructures in Afghanistan. At least 3 journalists’ houses were searched in the last hour. Kabul is now becoming deadly,” ” a journalist from Kabul tweeted on Monday. “This is a game-changer for us all. Many have started counting their final hours of life in Kabul. Nobody knows what happens next. Pray for us.”

The US is preparing to evacuate US nationals and scores of Afghan visa holders.  Upwards of 30 000 Afghan refugees are prepared to live in military facilities. Some American individuals are allegedly stuck behind Taliban security checkspots and cannot contact Karzai. As reported by The Daily Wire,

Maggie Haberman, a reporter for the New York Times, was informed that Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AK) is receiving calls from U.S. citizens caught behind Taliban check posts, even as the U.S. State Department is urging that Talibans let foreign people leave.

According to a tweet the Senator posted earlier Sunday, the office of Cotton extended its telephone lines to anyone in Kabul who need to get in touch. Sunday night, Haberman tweeted that the Cotton office had received calls requesting assistance from “multiple U.S. citizens.”

Refugees from other regions in Afghanistan had examined how the terrorist organization cracked down in Afghanistan before the Taliban Insurrection in Kabul on Sunday. The Wall Street Journal states that:

But Afghans pouring into Kabul and those still in Taliban-held areas say they have witnessed unprovoked attacks on civilians and executions of captured soldiers. In addition, they say, Taliban commanders have demanded that communities turn over unmarried women to become “wives” for their fighters—a form of sexual violence, human-rights groups say.

On Thursday, the U.S. Embassy in Kabul reported that the Taliban executed Afghan militants who surrendered. On Twitter, the embassy stated, “Deeply disturbing & could constitute war crimes.”
