Trump: Attacks On U.S. Embassy In Iraq “Will Not Be A Benghazi” (VIDEO)

The Department of Defense has deployed 100 U.S. Marines to the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad in response to an attack on the embassy by Iranian-backed militants.

The leader behind the embassy attack is Hadi al-Amiri, head of the Badr corps.  The Badr Corps has received funding from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard.

In 2011, former President Obama hosted Hadi al-Amiri in the White House despite push-back from then-chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Thileana Ros-Lehtinen.

Al-Amiri, at the time of the meeting in the White House with Obama, was a suspect for the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia.

President Trump tweeted that “Iran will be held fully responsible for lives lost, or damage incurred, at any of our facilities.”

President Trump also added that the tweet was not a warning but a threat.
