Trump Legal Team: ‘Trump Won In A Landslide. We Are Going To Prove It’

The legal team of President Donald Trump told a news conference on Thursday that the incumbent Republican chief executive won the 2020 election “in a landslide” despite the earlier proclamations of a Joe Biden victory done by major news networks.

His team claimed that Biden’s win was due to rampant voter irregularities and cases of fraud — and they promised they would “prove it.”

Rudy Giuliani, former New York City Mayor and President Trump’s lawyer said they found “more than double the number of votes needed to overturn the election, in terms of provable, illegal ballots” in key battleground states such as Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Giuliani supported his allegations by citing multiple signed affidavits and lawsuits, saying he intends to make more of that public. In Democrat-controlled cities, like Philadelphia, President Trump’s personal attorney also claimed that the “number of voter fraud cases could fill a library.”

“Rudy Giuliani says they have ‘more than double’ the number of votes needed to overturn the election in terms of ‘provable, illegal ballots,’” the DailyCaller tweeted.

Former Assistant United States Attorney and Michael Flynn’s lawyer, Sidney Powell, also slammed the irregularities surrounding the November 3 election, which the Trump campaign believed swayed the outcome of the election.

“This is stunning, heartbreaking, infuriating and the most unpatriotic act I can even imagine for people in this country to have participated in any way, shape, or form,” Powell said. “I want the American public to know right now that we will not be intimidated … we are going to take this country back.”

“President Trump won by a landslide. We are going to prove it,” she added.

Powell —  who served in the Department of Justice for 10 years, in three federal districts under nine United States Attorneys from both political parties — is a highly-respected legal mind. The head of the Federal Election Commission (FEC), Trey Trainor, said he believes Powell’s claims of widespread election fraud.

“Having practiced law for almost 2 decades as a member of the State Bar of Texas, I’ve never known fellow TX lawyer @SidneyPowell1 to be anything but forthright and honest in every case she’s ever taken on. If she says there is rampant voter fraud in #Election2020, I believe her,” Trainor praised Powell.

Trump campaign adviser Corey Lewandowski also referred to Powell as a “dogged professional attorney” and told “The Water Cooler” podcast that he, too, has absolute trust in Powell’s words saying “if she says she has that evidence, I have no reason to doubt her at all.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s legal adviser Jenna Ellis said the press conference they held on Thursday is only their “opening statement” — the hard evidence, she noted, will be presented not to the media but to the courts as she blasted the press for being the “court of public opinion.”

“I would strike 99% of the journalists if they were her jury,” Ellis said. “I would be allowed to because of the fake news coverage you provide.”

For her part, Powell, who is also a former federal prosecutor, insisted that President Trump’s legal team has been receiving a deluge of evidence showing widespread voter irregularities across the country — enough for her to launch a criminal investigation.

“We’re getting ready to overturn election results in multiple states,” she said. “I don’t make comments without having the evidence to back it up.”
