The former president paraded past the throng of supports from inside his vehicle, waving at the enthusiastic crowd. The crowd was reportedly celebrating President Trump’s acquittal during the 2nd impeachment trial.
“We love our president,” said a man named Samir, identified on Right Side Broadcasting’s live stream. “This means so much to us coming out here and supporting the man that should rightfully be in the White House.”
The former president was acquitted of allegedly provoking the attack on the Capitol on January 6th.
Seven Republican senators defected to vote with the Democrats in voting to convict Trump. Conviction was short of 10 votes of the 67 needed to convict him.
