Trump ‘Really Concerned About’ Biden’s Border Crisis, May Visit Border Soon
Many Republicans are visiting the U.S.-Mexico border to check out the border crisis for themselves and former President Trump could soon be making a trip himself, says former senior advisor to Trump, Jason Miller.
Jason Miller told Michael Berry in a podcast that he could see former President Trump visiting the border soon. Trump’s campaign and presidency was heavily focused on immigration and border security.
“Not immediately but I could see a trip, some point in the future here, but it is something that [former] President Trump is really concerned about,” MSN reported.
Former President Trump did visit the border near his final days in office and Miller said Trump has not been there since because he wanted to allow Biden to ‘fail on his own’
Miller also stated that there is a ‘very fine line’ where you can criticize someone’s policies vs showboating. Trump also did not want his trip to the border to allow Biden to have the chance to downplay the crisis. Miller predicted that they could accuse Trump of ‘making a scene out of’ the border situation.
President Biden has blamed former President Trump for the crisis at the border but the Biden administration was handed ‘the most secure border in history’ according to a statement released on Sunday.
“All they had to do was keep this smooth-running system on autopilot. Instead, in the span of a just few weeks, the Biden Administration has turned a national triumph into a national disaster. They are in way over their heads and taking on water fast,” Trump wrote in his statement.
Reported Thursday, “Over 100,000 individuals were apprehended at the US-Mexico border in February alone, as the number of unaccompanied minors seeking to enter the country has ballooned to record highs — straining capacity at immigration facilities and had towns along the border crying for help as their limited resources run dry.”
Senator John Kennedy and many others have called out the Biden Administration for undoing and getting rid of all the practices and policies put in to secure the border.
Pres. Biden inherited the most secure border of my lifetime—as the results of a Republican Congress and the Trump Administration.
