Trump Warns Georgia Voters Of Consequences Of Not Voting In The January 5 Senate Runoff

President Donald Trump warned voters in Georgia of dire consequences of not voting in the January 5 runoff which puts at stake the majority control of the Senate.

During a Valdosta campaign rally for the re-election of Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, the incumbent chief executive said the progressive agenda of far-left Democrats will win should the GOP lose the two seats in the Senate runoff.

“If you don’t vote, the socialists and the communists win,” President Trump said as he rallied supporters to reelect the GOP lawmakers to block “socialists” and “communists” from gaining control of the Senate.

“Everything we’ve achieved together is on the line on January 5th,” he added.

Republicans currently hold 50 seats in the upper house of Congress, compared to the 48 seats held by Democrats. The GOP needs at least one of those seats to keep the Senate majority, but a Democratic sweep of the two Senate seats in the run-off would mean that Senator Kamala Harris, who was earlier proclaimed by the media as vice president-elect, would be the tie-breaking vote giving the Senate majority in favor of Democrats.

During the rally, incumbent Sen. Purdue sought for votes in a bid to stop progressives from “changing America” as they face-off Democrat challengers Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff.

“The road to socialism will NEVER run through Georgia. We need to send me and @Kloeffler back to Washington so we can stop Democrats like AOC and Chuck Schumer from changing the America we love,” the senator said.

Senator Kloeffler during the same event on Saturday also said she’s “running against the most radical candidate to ever run for Senate.”

“Like @realDonaldTrump, @Perduesenate & I are political outsiders and conservative business leaders. We’re here to defend our freedoms and to stop the radical left’s socialist agenda. #gapol#gasen,” she said, as she also praised the military and law enforcement in an apparent swipe to Democrats pushing to defund the police.

Senator Kloeffler debates Warnock

Separately, during her debate with the Democrat Warnock on Sunday, Senator Kloeffler slammed Warnock for his record and his refusal to come clean on court packing and denouncing socialism.

@ReverendWarnock would champion the radical left’s efforts to politicize the pandemic and fundamentally change America as we know it. Not on my watch.#gapol #gasen,” Kloeffler said on December 7.

@ReverendWarnockREFUSES to denounce Marxism and socialism. He refuses to denounce these dangerous & radical worldviews because he agrees with them. #gapol #gasen,” she added.

“Tonight, Georgians saw what’s at stake in this election. I’m running to defend the American Dream & to fight for Georgia families.Radical liberal @ReverendWarnock is running to raise your taxes, pack the Court, and defund the  police. The contrast couldn’t be clearer,” Senator Kloeffler added.

Georgia requires a candidate to receive at least 50% of the vote to win, and in the last election, no candidate in the two separate races — between Republican Sen. Kloeffler and Democrat Warnock, as well as Sen. Perdue and challenger Democrat challenger Ossoff — received more than half the vote.

Meanwhile, President Trump encouraged the Republicans to vote in “record numbers” on January 5.

“President @realDonaldTrump: If you want revenge on the Democrats, you have to show up and vote in RECORD numbers for @PerdueSenate and @KLoeffler!,” he said.
